What is the ESN SMP server IP?
Java: play.esnoffical.com. Bedrock: play.esnoffical.com with port 19132. See the join guide.
Is ESN SMP Java or Bedrock?
Both. ESN SMP is crossplay: Java and Bedrock players are on the same server, in the same world, with the same items and events.
Can I play on Xbox, PlayStation or Switch?
Yes. Consoles can't type a server address, so join through a friend: open #console-join on our Discord for the ESN friend bot's current gamertag, add it as a friend, then open Minecraft → Play → Friends and join ESN SMP. Full steps in the Bedrock guide.
What port does Bedrock use?
Bedrock uses port 19132 (not 25565). Java players don't need a port.
Which Minecraft version do I need?
Java: use a recent version of Minecraft. Bedrock: update Minecraft to the latest version.
Do I need to download a resource pack?
No download needed. The server sends ESN's custom resource pack for our items when you join. Click Yes when Minecraft asks.
Why does my Bedrock name have a dot in front?
Bedrock names show with a dot in front, like .Steve. That is normal. Type the dot too on vote sites.
What happens when I first join?
You land on the sky spawn island. Step on START HERE for a short on-screen tutorial; finishing it gives you a starter set of diamond armor and tools. The old city is at /hub.
How do I protect my builds?
Spawn is a safe zone. Leave spawn, pick a spot and claim your land so nobody can grief it. See the new player guide.
Is PvP on?
PvP is on outside spawn and the sky island, and on the King of the Hill hill during the event.
How do I earn coins?
Daily login rewards, weekly quests, bounties, the auction house and voting all pay coins.
What events are there?
King of the Hill on Wednesdays at 7 PM CT, Frostfall boss raids on Tuesdays at 7:30 PM and Fridays at 6:30 PM CT, the weekly lottery on Sundays at 8 PM CT, fishing tournaments and build contests. See the events calendar or type /events.
What is the Season 2: Frostfall pass?
The Season 2: Frostfall pass runs from Oct 31 to Dec 26, 2026 and is full of Frostfall exclusive rewards. Open it in game with /pass.
How do I vote and what do I get?
Type /vote in game or open the vote page. Every vote gives a reward, and streaks and milestones add more.
How do I link my Discord account?
Type /mclink in chat and follow the steps.
How do store purchases get delivered?
Store items are paid with Stripe and delivered in game to the Minecraft username you enter. Ranks arrive right away, and items arrive the next time you join if you were offline. Need help with an order? Open a ticket on our Discord.
I make videos. Is there a creator program?
Yes. Post ESN SMP videos and get a [Creator] tag in game. See creators or type /creator.
Is the server online right now?
Check the live status page; ESN SMP is checked every minute.
Where can I see what changed recently?
Every update is listed on the ESN SMP updates page, which also has an RSS feed.
Can I run my own Minecraft server like this?
Yes. ESN SMP is run by ESN Systems, and ESN Hosting rents Minecraft and Discord bot servers. See the hosting plans.
